Advisory Board

The Advisory Board of DAGDA LLC has been created in November 2008. Its main goal is to provide independent expertise on DAGDA LLC’s research and investment projects. The Advisory Board consists of the best specialists with huge work experience on the financial market in Ukraine and abroad.

Vitaliy Shapran, PhD, Ñhief financial analyst at RA “Expert-Rating”, the senior lecturer at Ukrainian Institute of Stock Market Development, the Chairman of Advisory Board of DAGDA LLC

Vitaliy Shapran heads the analytic department at the rating agency “Expert-Rating”, he is responsible for the development of methodological base of rating. In 2006 he worked out the original model of financial information disclosure which works in practice in the insurance and municipal sectors. Vitaliy Shapran is the developer of methodology for the rating of asset management companies, banks, insurance companies and non-financial sphere companies.
Before starting his career at RA “Expert-Rating”, he held a position of analyst, commentator of international financial markets magazine “Russian Polis”, he was also the commentator of foreign markets in the official publication of the Assotiation Of Russian banks “National Banking Magazine”, at the same time Vitaliy was occupied with academic work. Since 1999 he is a constant author of the official publication of the Securities and Stock Market State Commission - “The Securities of Ukraine”.
Vitaliy Shapran has two financial-economic educations, successfully defended a thesis in 2005, and investigated banks’ operation on the securities market. Since February 2006 he is a collaborator of Ukrainian Institute of Stock Market Development of KNEU and Deputy Chief of the Banking Analysis Commission of the Ukrainian Society of Financial Analysts (USFA).
Vitaliy Shapran is the author of the popular book «IPO from À to Z», «Investor Relations: a Manual for Companies Attracting Investment» and more than 500 articles devoted to problems of financial market development.

Olena Barbarova, the president of “Investment Relations Solutions” agency.

Olena Barbarova graduated from Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National University, majoring in journalism.
Olena has worked in the Ukrainian stock market system since 1994 as business media observer, project manager, and lobbyist.
From 2001 till 2005 as General Director of the Ukrainian Association of Investment Business, she implemented a number of projects on promotion and adoption of legislative acts (including the Law of Ukraine “On the institutions of collective investment”, on taxing these institutions, other legislative documents which were necessary for regulating collective investment institutions and assets management companies, draft law on Joint Stock Companies), creation of self-governance system for asset managements companies.
Since 2006 - business development director of Investment Group INEKO, leading consultant for the Corporate Governance Development Program in Ukraine (for the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and the State Stock Market and Securities Commission of Ukraine), consultant on cooperation with private equity and venture capital funds. Olena has experience in cooperation with domestic and foreign investors; holds media-trainings and communication trainings for companies’ staff involved in communications.

Sergey Buhantsov, Head of Investment Analysis Department of DeVision group of companies, Member of USFA, Ph.D.

His general activity is studying of building projects’ investment attractiveness at office and trade-entertaining real estate. In 2007-2008, he worked out a model of the project implementation with estimation phases, financing attracting, realization and operation. At the same time, he decided problems about preparing the template of business-plans with description of different building projects. During the business-plan working out economic justification of investment attractiveness sings of a project (IAS) is used. IASes are fulgurated according to unique methodic considering various influence factors.
Before working in DeVision he held a post of Head of analysis and monitoring department in Kiev Representative office of JSCB “Promsvyazbank”. At this post he coordinated monitoring and analysis of financial ratios and also general financial performance of the bank, estimated limits for banks. He took part in rules writings on risk management in a bank. In the network of opening/buying daughter bank in Ukraine, he coordinated the work on bank value estimating fro a potential investor;
Before this he worked as Deputy Head of management reporting department in Aval Bank. At this post he worked at designing of information analytical system in the bank. He also participated in the project on Bank Master system introduction in Aval Bank in 2002-2005
Sergey Buhantsov has two higher educations (economic – 2000, Kiev National Economic University, and technical – 1997, National Technical University of Ukraine).
In 2008, he defended his dissertation; he was responsible for research issues designing of analytical systems in financial institutions.
Since February 2006, he is a member of Ukrainian Society of Financial Analysts (USFA).

 

Andrey Nikitin, associate professor of bank business management department of Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University.

Andrey Nikitin graduated from Kiev’s Economic Institute, Financial economics department, in 1990, majoring in “Finance and credit”. In 2000 he graduated from Kiev’s Institute of Internal Affairs of National Academy of Internal Affairs, majoring at jurisprudence. From 1992-1996 he worked in commercial banks as the chief of securities department, finance director and board member. Since 1990 he has been occupied with research and academic work. In 2003 he defended his PhD thesis on “Banks’ Investments and Increasing Their Efficiency”. During his work in the academic sector, he occupied increasingly responsible posts, starting from assistant, lecturer, associate professor, to the deputy head of a research department. In 2004-2005 he served as Deputy Director of Ukrainian financial & banking school of Kiev’s National Economic University (KNEU). Since 2004 he has been responsible for the publication of KNEU’s journal “Finance, Accounting and Auditing”. He participated in Verhovna Rada’s committee on finance and banking system. At present Mr. Nikitin works on the doctoral dissertation “The Ukrainian Banks in the Financial Services Market”. He participated in a number of financial and economic programs and conferences in Vienna, Kiev, Moscow and Beijing.

 

Vitaliy Shushkovsky, Head of Analytical Department of East Road Advisors Company

Vitaliy is on stock market of Ukraine since 2004, before this he work in fuel-energy complex three years. In 2004-2006, he held positions of Analyst, Head of Analytical Department, Head of Department on work with portfolio investors in IFC «ART-Capital», in 2006-2008 – Vice-President of IC «Ukrainian Stock Centre». In 2008-2009 – Director on Stock market in IC «Megapolis Capital», since 2009 – Head of Analytical department of East Road Advisors Company.

Periodically he publishes his works in Ukrainian and Russian business editions, speak at conferences devoted to stock market. Vitaliy is an author of vitalis219.livejournal.com blog. His sphere of professional interests is specific of calculating shares’ index and other indicates of stock market activity in the context of frontier markets, behavioural theory of finance, ETF.

Education: Kiev National University of Economy, Economy and Management Department (Investment Management specialty); at the same university he graduated jurisprudence by correspondence.

 

Eugen Petrik the founder of EMKON and non-staff advisor of SSMSC

Eugen have worked in IT industry up to 2005. He became general director of the government agency Stock Market Development Agency (SMIDA) in May of 2005.

National information disclosure portal smida.gov.ua has taken the leading position. SMIDA with the supporting of State stock market and securities commission (SSMSC) has constructed national information disclosure base stockmarket.gov.ua. Eugen left SMIDA in July of 2009 and founded own company EMCON Ltd. EMCON Ltd is the leading company in brunch of financial information disclosure. Eugen is the non-staff advisor of SSMSC.
